We’re here with another installment of John in 60 seconds, where John has 60 seconds to answer some of our questions. Today’s topic is about the Solis Tek Matrix. Are you ready, John?
Let’s take Matrix. What’s so special about it?
The cool thing about the Solis Tek Matrix is that you can use it with the remote control that we sell separately.
That’s pretty cool. A remote control. How would you go about using it?
You can use it to set the actual hours that you want to use the lights. You can set how much power you want to put out: 1000 watt, 750 watt, 600 watt, and so on and so forth. You can actually use it to turn lights on or off.
Will one remote control multiple ballasts?
Yeah. It’s awesome. You get one remote, and you can control all your ballasts.
How does it work with DE bulbs for example?
It’s a new technology out there, and the Solis Tek will work with any DE bulb out there and any other fixture that plugs into it.
I know that a lot of ballasts tend to get really hot. How does Solis Tek Matrix deal with heat?
We actually tested it one time, and it runs five to ten degrees cooler than any other ballast that we tested out there. It also has no fan on it, so it has no chance of failure of fan, which actually will cause a ballast to die.

In all my experience in setting up gardens and building grow rooms, I always make sure that I always get an extra ballast – if not two – just in case one goes out.
